Jim Beam Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whisky, 40% vol., is one of the most time-honoured American bourbons and embodies the Beam family’s distilling tradition spanning more than 225 years. It is made from carefully selected grains and limestone-filtered water from Kentucky, which plays a key role in defining the classic style of this bottling. After distillation, Jim Beam Bourbon is matured for four years in new, charred oak casks, allowing the characteristic blend of vanilla, caramel, grain and oak to develop. This four-year cask ageing period significantly exceeds the minimum ageing requirement for a Straight Bourbon and lends the whisky additional roundness and depth. It is precisely this combination of traditional production methods, new American oak and many years of family expertise that defines the unmistakable style of this Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whisky.


At 40% ABV, Jim Beam Kentucky Straight Bourbon is full-bodied, smooth and pleasantly approachable. Sweet caramel and vanilla take centre stage, whilst notes of grain, spicy accents and oak provide structure and round off the classic bourbon character. Ageing in newly charred oak casks adds warm toasty aromas and a subtle woody spice, without overpowering the smooth style. The bourbon is bottled in a 0.7-litre bottle and, thanks to its balanced profile, is ideal for both drinking neat and in classic whisky cocktails. Jim Beam Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whisky is excellent neat, on the rocks or with a splash of water. For classic cocktails, it works particularly well in a Whisky Sour, Old Fashioned or Bourbon Highball. In terms of food pairings, BBQ ribs, burgers, grilled beef or mature Cheddar harmonise very well with its caramel and oak flavours. Pecan cake, brownies or desserts featuring vanilla and caramel also complement the sweet bourbon notes beautifully.
