Monkey 47 Black Forest Dry Gin is a premium German dry gin from the Black Forest, renowned for its exceptionally complex recipe comprising a total of 47 botanicals. Its history is closely linked to the British gentleman Montgomery Collins, who lived in the Black Forest after the Second World War and combined his passion for gin with regional plants and herbs. This historical inspiration was later revived and formed the basis for Monkey 47, whose recipe has been synonymous with a distinctive style since its launch in 2008. The gin incorporates both local herbs, berries and spices from the Black Forest and selected exotic botanicals. Juniper and lingonberries from the Black Forest play a special role, complemented by various citrus, floral, herbal and spicy components.

Particularly soft spring water from the Black Forest is also used in the production of Monkey 47 Gin. The number 47 is reflected both in the 47 botanical ingredients and in the robust 47 per cent alcohol by volume. Another distinctive feature is the design, modelled on a traditional apothecary bottle, which is also incorporated into this handy 0.05-litre miniature bottle. In terms of content, the small bottle is identical to the well-known Monkey 47 Black Forest Dry Gin and, thanks to its compact size, is particularly well-suited for trying the gin for the first time, for gin tastings, as a small gift or as part of a miniature collection.

Palate: Balanced and smooth with pronounced juniper, delicately balanced fruit and citrus notes, spicy herbs and a distinct peppery heat.

Finish: Long-lasting and harmonious with fruity citrus notes, juniper and a subtle, lingering spiciness.

The Monkey 47 Black Forest Dry Gin 0.05-litre miniature bottle is particularly suitable for tastings, as a small gift or for getting to know this complex Black Forest gin. For a classic gin and tonic, pour the contents over plenty of ice with a dry, preferably neutral, premium tonic water; a slice of lemon or grapefruit is sufficient as a garnish. The distinctive botanical profile also lends itself well to classic drinks such as a Dry Martini, Negroni or Gin Fizz.
