The Terence Hill THE HERO Whisky Mild 46% is a characterful whisky blend from St. Kilian Distillers, dedicated to the famous actor Terence Hill and deliberately crafted to be mild and fruity. For this bottling, the German distillery blends its own whisky, matured in ex-rum casks, with triple-distilled whiskey from the Great Northern Distillery in Dundalk, Ireland. The Irish component was previously matured in ex-American bourbon casks, allowing notes of vanilla, caramel and soft cask flavours to develop. The rum casks from St. Kilian’s stock also bring tropical fruit and sweet accents to the blend. Thus, the Terence Hill Whisky combines German distilling craftsmanship with Irish whiskey and a Caribbean-influenced cask character.

With an alcohol content of 46 per cent, the Terence Hill THE HERO Whisky Mild has sufficient body, yet remains pleasantly approachable and well-balanced, true to its name. Tasting Note

Colour: Warm gold to amber in its natural colour.

Nose: Sweet and inviting with bourbon vanilla and caramelised brown sugar, accompanied by soft oak notes.

Palate: Fruity and rounded with pineapple and ripe banana, complemented by subtle oak spice and a hint of cocoa.

Finish: Long-lasting and smooth with pineapple cream, dark caramel and a subtle dry oakiness.

Terence Hill THE HERO Mild Whisky is particularly enjoyable neat at around 18 to 20 °C or with a single ice cube. It pairs well with roasted nuts, mild to medium-strength cheeses or lightly smoked meats, as these complement the vanilla and oak barrel notes beautifully. Banana desserts, pineapple cake, crème brûlée or dark chocolate also harmonise well with the tropical fruit and caramel notes.
