19 Crimes The Uprising Red Wine 13.5% ABV 0.75l online kaufen

The 19 Crimes The Uprising Red Wine is a charismatic Australian red wine that combines tradition and innovation. Inspired by the story of the 19 offences for which convicts were deported to Australia in the 18th and 19th centuries, every bottle of 19 Crimes tells a piece of history. The ‘Uprising’ symbolises resistance and a new beginning – and this energy is reflected in the glass too.

This cuvée is crafted from the classic grape varieties Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache, which thrive in the ideal conditions of sun-drenched Australia. Part of the wine is aged in former rum casks, giving it additional spice, depth and a slightly caramelised note. With an alcohol content of 13.5% vol., it is lighter than many Australian red wines, yet remains fully aromatic and complex.

Tasting Note

In the glass, 19 Crimes The Uprising displays a deep ruby red colour. On the nose, aromas of dark berries, plums and cherries unfold, complemented by subtle notes of caramel, vanilla and sweet spices, which stem from its ageing in rum casks. On the palate, it is soft and round, with ripe tannins, juicy fruit and a pleasantly long finish, in which fruit and spicy oak notes blend harmoniously.

This red wine, made from Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache, pairs perfectly with grilled meat, BBQ dishes, spicy pasta dishes or hearty stews. It is also an excellent choice with mature cheeses or as an accompaniment to convivial evenings. Served at 14–16 °C, it reveals its full range of flavours and shows itself at its best.
